What is Celica XX?

In Japan, the Supra started with what the US market knows as the third generation model. 1978-1985 they were called Celica XX. Unlike the rest of the world market, Japan had multiple engine choices.

All mk2 Celica XX were flareless (US L-type narrowbody).
The early 80s cars had fender mirrors.

1984 and on models no longer had fender mirrors.

The Celica XX also had other interesting and different features from it's US cousins. The power mirror switch is located where our (US) dimmer switch is, and not on the center console.

Inside the XX glovebox was hard plastic, and not the easily destroyed felt-cardboard the US models have.

JDM 2000GT and 2000G-Turbo have a speed alarm if car is not equipped with the optional cruise control.
So this speed alarm is standard (not optional) for 2000GT and 2000G-Turbo.
Only 2800GT had cruise standard, optional for 2000GT,2000G, and 2000S.
-Rosso

The mk2 Celica XX did not have black as a standard color ever. It was only available as a limited edition special, along with white, for 1984. 500 of each color were made, with gold stickers, and gold painted insets on the wheels and the only Celica XX to ever come with a sunshade/spoiler.
